Mission Statement

The Columbus Federation of Settlements

enhances the capacity of its members

 and works collectively to support

 neighborhoods so that individuals

 and families are strengthened.

The Columbus Federation of Settlements (CFS) is a coalition of 7 neighborhood-based organizations that help individuals and groups build upon their strengths and draw upon community resources to reach their full potential.

Traditionally, the neighborhoods served by these settlement houses face poverty, crime, violence, drugs, and limited resources.  These conditions strain family systems and put families and children at a greater disadvantage with regard to overall quality of life issues.

As a strong coalition, the Columbus Federation of Settlements is uniquely positioned to help direct community resources where they will make the greatest difference.  They are committed to working together to create a greater sense of neighborhood, community well-being, and justice for all.

CFS is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation.
